American Cancer Society

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

During 2008, there will be about 215,020 new cases of lung cancer in America.

Lung cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women. More people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined.

Smoking greatly increases your chances of lung cancer.  If you are considering quitting, get more information with the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout Challenge. (link- http://www.cancer.org/docroot/subsite/greatamericans/smokeout.asp)
